We had an absolute blast at Pensacola Beach for Mardi Gras! The energy, the people, and the parade were amazing, and we made some great memories.
Maddie, our 12-year-old, had her own unique way of getting beads—by casually stepping into my (Brian’s) shine! Instead of waving her hands or yelling like everyone else, she’d just inch into my space, hoping to catch some without drawing attention to herself. Smooth move, Maddie!
Sharamane started off watching the parade from a bit of a distance, wanting a clear view from her wheelchair. But once the people on the floats started tossing her beads without her even asking, she got into the Mardi Gras spirit real quick! Before we knew it, she had a full collection hanging around her neck.
The floats were top-tier, but one that really stood out was the SWAT float—a crazy detailed replica of a SWAT vehicle. They really went all out with that one!
